Tasting commentary
The Pape Clément rouge 2022 presents a bright red, garnet red, intense, almost black. The nose, seductive by its complexity, reveals notes of black cherry, strawberry and aromas of black fruits, like blackberry, blueberry that opens to aeration on fresh notes, mentholated. The palate is smooth, of a beautiful balance and rare tannic richness and finesse. The subtlety of the bouquet is expressed in the mouth and is accompanied by more spicy notes, licorice and pepper. It is the sensation of silkiness and gourmandise that impresses most in this wine.
