Owner's words
The 2024 vintage, marked by a cooler climate, reveals an elegant, well-balanced wine with great accessibility in its youth. Less sun-drenched than its predecessors, it retains the velvety signature of Larrivet Haut-Brion, with delicate, silky tannins accompanying a fine aromatic structure. The wine's purity and brilliance are immediately apparent on opening, revealing crisp aromas of red berries - raspberry, redcurrant, cherry - interwoven with subtle notes of ink and graphite from the Cabernet Franc. On the palate, the attack is juicy and fresh, offering a fine balance between roundness and dynamism. Merlot, harvested fresh, adds an airy touch. The Cabernet Sauvignon, whose ripeness has been achieved thanks to the diversity of the gravelly terroirs, ensures fine structure and subtle depth. Cabernet Franc, for its part, breathes dynamism into the second half of the palate, bringing density without excessive power. The 2024 vintage is perfectly in tune with the zeitgeist: immediate pleasure driven by gourmandise and balance, fully reflecting the spirit of the vintage and the identity of Larrivet Haut-Brion.
