Owner's words
Château Haut-Bergey is located in Pessac-Léognan, in the heart of the village of Léognan. In 2021, it consists of 42ha, 2 of white grapes, and 40 of reds fully certified in organic and biodynamic farming at Demeter and Biodyvin. The 2021 vintage kept a cool atmosphere almost until mid-August. Our sandy-gravelly soils structured by thoughtful grassing have allowed our vines to maintain their healthy roots while meeting their needs without fallig into excess. Thus the grapes were able to ripen and obtain all the sugars and nitrogen necessary for a gentle natural fermentation without input. The result is a complex wine and all in lace thanks to the fine tannins of the Cabernets that allow it an optimal keeping.
