Tasting commentary
2022: what a year and what a vintage!  A dry, cold autumn, followed by a mild, wet winter, quickly qualified this vintage as an early one. The spring and summer that followed will be remembered for their exceptionally hot and dry weather, but as the heat set in early, the vines paradoxically reacted rather well. Our vineyards were spared the hail of June 20, and fortunately benefited from the scattered rains that accompanied it.  After a more stressful 2021, 2022 proved much more clement in terms of sanitary pressures from flowering to veraison. Thanks to ideal weather conditions, harvesting went smoothly and calmly.  Although the lack of rain significantly reduced yields, it had no impact whatsoever on the exceptional quality of this vintage, which is now ready to be tasted: a deep color, fine, ripe tannins, a dense, elegant, sapid palate, and an intense, fresh aromatic profile.  All the hallmarks of a great wine!
